The sacred scriptures of Bharat loudly proclaim that the individual is the architect of his own fate. Whatever form the person craves for now while alive in this birth, that form he attains after death. Therefore, it is clear that Karma (consequences of one's actions) decides birth and wealth, the character and attitude, the level of intelligence. The joys and sorrows of this life are the earnings gathered during the previous life. The inference, therefore, is inevitable that the next life of the individual will be in consonance with the activities prompted by the level of Karma in this life.
Kitab-kitab suci Bharat secara nyata memproklamirkan bahwa setiap orang/individu adalah arsitek dari nasibnya sendiri. Apapun juga wujud/bentuk (kehidupan) yang digandrungi oleh seseorang semasa hidupnya, maka wujud/bentuk itulah yang akan ia peroleh setelah kematiannya. Oleh sebab itu, sudah jelas bahwa Karma (konsekuensi perbuatan seseorang) menentukan kelahiran dan kesejahteraan, karakter dan sikap serta tingkat intelligensianya kelak. Kegembiraan dan kesedihan dari kehidupan ini merupakan hasil atau buah-akibat dari perbuatan-perbuatan di kehidupan yang lampau. Kesimpulannya adalah bahwa kondisi kehidupan yang akan datang akan sesuai dengan kegiatan atau hasil perbuatan semasa kehidupan saat ini (Karma kehidupan sekarang).
