Thought for the Day - 22nd May 2019 (Wednesday)

Pure love is like a well-paved, one-way road with no speed breakers. You can rush along it to God at whatever speed you want. Rivers also illustrate this principle. All rivers speed down from mountains. They flow fast and swift to somewhere. Where to? To the ocean. In the process, they go over boulders and rocks, skilfully avoiding obstacles on the way. They never stop, but keep moving all the time towards the goal. Life must be a river rushing towards the ocean called God. The flow should never stop or falter. Overcoming all obstacles, you must keep rushing towards God. That must be the characteristic of your spiritual journey. Be strong-willed, resolute, determined, and sincere. There should be no room whatsoever for despair, depression or weakness of any sort. Correct your vision and what you hear, introspect your thoughts and feelings, and ensure your actions are noble and good. Then, you will experience nothing but bliss.

Cinta-kasih yang murni dapat diibaratkan seperti jalan beraspal, satu arah tanpa pemutus kecepatan. Engkau dapat bergegas menuju Tuhan dengan kecepatan apa pun yang engkau inginkan. Sungai juga menggambarkan prinsip ini. Semua sungai melaju dari pegunungan. Sungai mengalir dengan cepat dan deras ke suatu tempat. Kemana? Ke laut. Dalam prosesnya, sungai berjalan ke batu-batu besar, dengan terampil menghindari rintangan di jalan. Sungai tidak pernah berhenti, tetapi terus bergerak sepanjang waktu ke arah tujuan. Hidup harus seperti sungai yang mengalir menuju samudera yang disebut Tuhan. Aliran seharusnya tidak pernah berhenti atau goyah. Engkau harus terus bergegas menuju Tuhan mengatasi semua rintangan. Itu harus menjadi ciri khas perjalanan spiritualmu. Berkemauan keras, tegas, tekun, dan tulus. Hendaknya tidak ada ruang untuk keputusasaan, depresi, atau kelemahan apa pun. Perbaiki visimu dan apa yang engkau dengar, pikiran dan perasaanmu, dan pastikan tindakanmu mulia dan baik. Maka, engkau tidak akan mengalami apa pun kecuali kebahagiaan.(Divine Discourse, May 21, 2000)
