The game of life is a cosmic play that God is enacting. The actors and actresses, the dialogues, the cues and the songs have all been assembled by Him. He is the cast, the director, and the audience. It is God who manifests Himself and manipulates every being. In the epic Mahabharatha, He filled one side with boundless material strength urged on by unrighteous greed, and the other with apparently limited strength of the Atman, the ever-righteous. In the cosmic confrontation and conflict between these two, the Lord stood forth as the arbiter who brought about the victory of right over might. The core lesson we derive is contained in the Gita—the seeker surrendering, with the words, “Karishye vachanam thava” (Your word shall be obeyed) and the Lord admonishing the seeker, “Swadharme nidhanam sreyah” (In fulfilling the duty assigned to you lies your safety and prosperity.) All work one does every day should be tested on this criterion.
Permainan hidup adalah sebuah drama kosmis yang dibuat oleh Tuhan. Para aktor dan aktris, dialog, isyarat dan lagu, semuanya telah disusun oleh-Nya. Beliau adalah pemain, sutradara, dan penonton. Tuhan memanifestasikan diri-Nya dan menggerakkan setiap makhluk. Dalam epik Mahabharatha, Beliau mengisi satu sisi dengan kekuatan material terbatas didorong oleh keserakahan yang tidak benar, dan di sisi lainnya dengan kekuatan Atman yang tampaknya terbatas, yang selalu benar. Pelajaran inti yang kita peroleh yang terkandung dalam Gita adalah – para pencari spiritual (kebenaran) berpasrah, dengan kata-kata, "Karishye vachanam thava" (kata-katamu harus dipatuhi) dan Tuhan mengingatkan, "Swadharme nidhanam sreyah" (Dalam memenuhi tugas yang dibebankan padamu, terletak keselamatan dan kesejahteraanmu).
