Godhead expressed itself initially as the five elements: the sky, the wind, the fire, the water and the earth. All creation is but a combination of two or more of these in varying proportions. The characteristic natures of these five elements are: sound, touch, form, taste and smell, cognized by the ear, the skin, the eye, the tongue and the nose. Now, since these are saturated with the divine, one has to use them reverentially and with humility and gratitude. Use them intelligently, to promote the welfare of others and yourself; use them with moderation and in the loving service of the community.
Ketuhanan pada awalnya diungkapkan sebagai lima unsur: langit, angin, api, air dan bumi. Seluruh ciptaan hanyalah merupakan kombinasi dari dua atau lebih unsur-unsur ini dalam berbagai perbandingan. Karakteristik dari kelima unsur tersebut adalah: suara, sentuhan, wujud, rasa, dan bau, yang dapat dirasakan oleh telinga, kulit, mata, lidah, dan hidung. Karena semuanya ini dipenuhi dengan yang ilahi, seseorang harus menggunakannya dengan kerendahan hati dan rasa syukur. Gunakanlah dengan baik, untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan orang lain dan diri sendiri; gunakanlah dengan tidak berlebihan dan dalam pelayanan penuh kasih pada masyarakat.
