Thought for the Day - 6th August 2016 (Saturday)

A divine vision of Vishwavirat (Cosmic Form) has been described as one consisting of thousands of heads, legs, and hands. Wherefrom has this Vishwavirat vision come? It is simply the magnified version of what is within ourselves. When I open My eyes, I see so many thousands of heads; but when the eyes are closed, I do not see even one head. When the eyes are open, I not only see these thousands of heads, but I also see this wall, this window and everything around me. If one goes outside and sees with open eyes, one sees the mountains, the sky, the rivers and the distant land; but at that instant, if one closes one’s eyes, why is it that one does not see even a small ant? If the eyes are open, we see the entire creation; and if the eyes are closed, we do not see anything of the creation. Thus we conclude that this entire creation has come from our own vision. Just as with external vision we are able to see the creation, with the help of internal vision, we can see the inner self.

Sebuah pandangan dari Vishwavirat (wujud kosmik) telah dijelaskan sebagai seseorang dengan memiliki ribuan kepala, kaki, dan tangan. Darimana datangnya pandangan terhadap Vishwavirat? Sederhananya adalah versi besar dari apa yang ada di dalam diri kita masing-masing. Ketika saya membuka mata saya, saya melihat begitu banyak ribuan kepala; namun ketika mata dipejamkan, saya tidak melihat bahkan satu kepala-pun. Ketika mata dibuka, saya tidak hanya melihat ribuan kepala ini, namun saya juga melihat dinding ini, jendela ini dan segala sesuatu di sekitar saya. Jika seseorang pergi keluar dan melihat dengan mata terbuka maka ia akan melihat gunung, langit, sungai, dan tanah yang terbentang jauh; namun ketika saat itu ia pejamkan mata, mengapa ia tidak melihat bahkan seekor semut-pun? Jika mata dibuka, kita melihat seluruh ciptaan; dan jika mata dipejamkan, kita tidak melihat apapun dari ciptaan. Jadi kita simpulkan bahwa seluruh ciptaan telah datang dari pandangan kita sendiri. Sama halnya dengan pandangan luar maka kita mampu melihat ciptaan dan dengan pandangan ke dalam kita dapat melihat diri yang ada di dalam. (Summer Roses on Blue Mountains, 1976, Ch 8)
